Posting like a champion
Ever since I got the iPad Pro I’ve been gradually trying to move all my habits to the small screen with the little pencil. Right now I’m testing whether, thanks to Editorial and its workflows, I’ve actually pulled it off.
For those who don’t know, my blog and portfolio is what I call a rat blog — no CMS, no hosting, just a bunch of static files and the generous gift that is GitHub Pages, with a little help from Jekyll. Let me run through my internet combo breaker:
- domain: namecheap — cheap, cool domains.
- hosting: github Pages — where my site lives.
- cms (I don’t have one, but this combo does the same thing):
- markdown — if you don’t know this syntax, click that link.
- brackets — text editor.
- editorial — iOS text editor with support for creating workflows (I’ll explain this more later)
- github desktop — for pushing files to GitHub in the least alpha-male way possible.
but how do you do it?

Let’s skip the part about setting up GitHub Pages with Jekyll since it’s as easy as cloning the project — ezpz — and go straight to the mobile blogging version.
editorial
This simple plain-text editing app has something called workflows, and kids, it’s the best thing ever — you can literally program actions, like proper if, while and all those nerd programming things. There’s even a site with several GitHub workflows designed specifically for blogging. I couldn’t get them working well — you had to get an API token, I got it but, nah — it’s actually so simple to just upload the file from Safari, or just copy and paste. Why bother with the API.
The big advantage of editorial is that it lets me create snippets that fit the customizations I’ve made to Jekyll and the CSS, which other editors don’t support. And since I’m an old sea dog used to a keyboard, typing out figure tags and that kind of HTML by hand is impossible.
It’s 3:15 am, nuff bloggin. Besides, this is just a test post.

Desde que me compre el ipad Pro que he tratado de a poco mudar todos mis hábitos a la pequeña pantalla con lapicito. en este momento estoy testeando si, gracias a editorial y sus workflows, lo he logrado.
Para los que no sepan mi blog y portafolio es lo que yo llamo un blog rata, no tengo un cms ni un hosting, sólo un montón de archivos estáticos y la gran bondad de github Pages, y un poco de ayuda de jekyll. Repasemos mi combo breaker de internet:
- dominio: namecheap dominios baratos baratos y cools.
- hosting: github Pages acá es donde se aloja mi sitio.
- cms (no tengo pero esta combinación hace lo mismo):
- markdown si no conocen esta sintaxis, hágase click.
- brackets editor de texto.
- editorial editor de texto para iOS con soporte para crear flujos (más adelante explicaré esto)
- github desktop para subir los archivos a github de la manera menos macho alfa que existe.

Saltémonos la parte de configurar github pages con Jekyll porque es tan fácil como clonar el proyecto ezpz, y vamos a la versión mobile del blogeo.

Esta simple app para edición de texto plano, tiene algo llamado workflows, y niños, es la cumbia, ya que se pueden programar acciones, así tal cual, if, while y todas esas programanerdidades, de hecho hay un sitio, en el sitio hay varios workflows con github, pensándos exclusivamente para blog, no logre hacerlos funcionar bien, había q sacar un token de api, lo hice pero, nah, si en verdad es tan sencillo como subir el archivo desde safari, o simplemente copiar y pegar, para que usar API.
La gran ventaja de editorial es que me deja crear snippets q se acomodan a como yo he hecho algunas modificaciones al mismo jekyll y al css, cosa que otros editores no me dejan y como soy un viejo lobo de mar acostumbrado al teclado andar escribiendo los figure y esa clase de html es imposible.
Son las 3:15 am nuff bloggin, además este es sólo un post de prueba.

_iPad Pro_를 산 이후로 모든 습관을 조금씩 작은 화면과 작은 연필로 옮기려 했어요. 지금 Editorial과 그 워크플로우 덕분에 정말로 해냈는지 테스트하는 중이에요.
모르는 분들을 위해 말하자면, 제 블로그와 포트폴리오는 제가 _쥐 블로그_라고 부르는 거예요 — CMS도, 호스팅도 없고, 그냥 정적 파일 묶음과 GitHub Pages의 관대한 선물, 그리고 Jekyll의 약간의 도움이에요. 제 인터넷 콤보 브레이커를 살펴볼게요:
- 도메인: namecheap — 저렴하고 쿨한 도메인.
- 호스팅: github Pages — 내 사이트가 사는 곳.
- cms (없지만 이 조합이 같은 걸 해줘요):
- markdown — 이 문법 모르면 링크 클릭하세요.
- brackets — 텍스트 에디터.
- editorial — 워크플로우 생성을 지원하는 iOS 텍스트 에디터 (나중에 더 설명할게요)

어떻게 하는 거예요?

GitHub Pages를 Jekyll로 설정하는 부분은 프로젝트를 클론하는 것만큼 쉬우니까 — ezpz — 건너뛰고 모바일 블로깅 버전으로 바로 가볼게요.

이 단순한 플레인 텍스트 편집 앱에는 _워크플로우_라는 게 있어요. 얘들아, 이게 최고예요 — 말 그대로 if, while 같은 너드 프로그래밍 것들 다 넣어서 액션을 프로그래밍할 수 있어요. 블로깅을 위해 특별히 설계된 GitHub 워크플로우가 있는 사이트도 있어요. 잘 작동시키진 못했어요 — API 토큰을 받아야 했는데, 받았지만, 그냥 — 사실 Safari에서 파일을 올리거나 그냥 복붙하는 게 너무 간단해요. 왜 API를 써요.
editorial의 큰 장점은 제가 Jekyll과 CSS에 추가한 커스터마이징에 맞는 스니펫을 만들 수 있다는 거예요. 다른 에디터들은 이걸 지원 안 해요. 키보드에 익숙한 오랜 바다의 늑대로서, figure 태그 같은 HTML을 손으로 입력하는 건 불가능해요.
오전 3시 15분이에요, 이제 블로깅 그만. 게다가 이건 그냥 테스트 포스트예요.

_iPad Pro_を買ってから、少しずつすべての習慣をちっちゃな画面とペンシルに移行しようとしています。今まさに、Editorialとそのワークフローのおかげで実現できたかどうかを試しています。
知らない人のために言うと、私のブログとポートフォリオは自分で_ラットブログ_と呼んでいるもので、CMSもホスティングもなく、静的ファイルの束とGitHub Pagesの大きな恵み、そしてJekyllの少しの助けで成り立っています。 私のインターネットコンボブレイカーをおさらいしましょう：

このシンプルなプレーンテキスト編集アプリには_ワークフロー_というものがあって、みんな、これが最高なんです — アクションをプログラムできるんですよ、文字通りif、while、そういったプログラミングオタク的なものが全部。実際にサイトがあって、ブログ専用に作られたGitHub連携ワークフローがいくつかあります。うまく動かすことはできなかった — APIトークンを取得する必要があって、取得したんですが、まあいいや。実際にはSafariからファイルをアップロードするか、コピー&ペーストするだけで済むんだから、なんでAPIを使う必要があるんですか。
editorialの大きな利点は、私がJekyllとCSSに加えたカスタマイズに合ったスニペットを作れることで、他のエディタではそれができません。キーボードに慣れた古参者として、_figure_タグやそういったHTMLを手打ちするのは無理なんです。
今午前3時15分、もうブログはいいや。それにこれはただのテストポストです。
