The end is nigh
Another year wrapping up and the general post count on my blog, and the progress on my portfolio, is not great — let’s be honest. There’s not much point in having a blog when social media keeps giving more editing options for posts. In fact, the level of formatting you can do inside Facebook group posts genuinely surprises me. Did I mention I have a Facebook group about Sketch in Spanish? And that I’m now officially a Sketch Ambassador — my t-shirt still hasn’t arrived to make it official — and I’ve been evangelizing Sketch for a while now, but anyway.
Even though a blog didn’t seem to make much sense lately, recent events in Chile and the terrible terms and conditions of many social networks (looking at you, twitter) have made me realize that one of the best ways to make a revolution is having a blog — because here they can’t censor or block me. Not that I’m planning to do or say a lot of things, but better to avoid the frustration.
Speaking of doing things, yesterday I finished a Grid & Layouts course from Design+Code. I learned a couple of new things but honestly it was just a chore — I hope the Swift one isn’t as bad.
I’ve been making progress on my portfolio, and I think I’ll leave it as a static MVP for now, then integrate it with Jekyll so I can manage… I’m not sure what I’d manage since I almost never keep clients’ files, but I still enjoy upgrading the portfolio. Although come to think of it, swup wasn’t working with jekyll, and I’d rather have animations than a CMS. I write these posts from Vscode anyway, so it’s not that terrible.

El fin está cerca
Otro año que se acaba y la cuenta general de post en mi blog, y el avance de mi portafolio no es el mejor, digamos la verdad, no hay mucho sentido en tener un blog cuando cada vez las redes sociales dan mas opciones de edición a los post, de hecho, me tiene sorprendido el nivel de edición que se puede dar dentro de los post de grupos en facebook,¿les conté que tengo un grupo de facebook sobre sketch en español? y que ahora soy oficialmente un Sketch Ambassador, aun no me llega mi polera para hacerlo oficial, y hace rato que ando profesando sketch, pero bueno.
A pesar de que hace poco no tenía sentido tener un blog, los acontecimientos recientes en Chile y los pésimos TYC de muchas redes sociales (te estoy mirando twitter) me han hecho reflexionar en que una de las mejores maneras de hacer revolución es teniendo un blog, ya que acá no me pueden censurar ni bloquear, tampoco es que vaya a hacer o decir muchas cosas pero, mejor evitar frustraciones.
Hablando de hacer cosas, ayer terminé un curso de Grid & Layouts de Design+Code, aprendí un par de cosas nuevas pero en verdad fue un trámite, espero que el de Swift no sea tan malo.
He estado avanzando en mi portafolio, y creo que como MVP lo dejaré estático, luego lo integraré con Jekyll para poder administrar… no se que podría administrar si casi nunca me quedo con los archivos de los clientes, pero de todas formas me gusta ir upgradeando el portafolio, aunque ahora que recuerdo swup no me funcionaba con jekyll, y prefiero tener animaciones que cms, estos mismos posts los escribo desde Vscode así que no es nada terrible.
끝이 가까워요
또 한 해가 저물고 있고 제 블로그 총 게시물 수와 포트폴리오 진행도는… 솔직히 별로예요. SNS가 포스트에 더 많은 편집 옵션을 계속 추가하는데 블로그를 갖는 게 별 의미가 없잖아요. 사실 Facebook 그룹 게시물 안에서 할 수 있는 편집 수준이 진짜 놀라워요. 제가 스페인어로 Sketch 페이스북 그룹이 있다는 얘기 했나요? 그리고 이제 공식적으로 Sketch Ambassador가 됐어요. 공식화할 티셔츠가 아직 안 왔지만, 꽤 오래 Sketch를 전도해왔어요. 어쨌든.
블로그를 갖는 게 별 의미 없다고 생각했지만, 칠레의 최근 사건들과 많은 SNS의 끔찍한 이용 약관 (너를 보고 있어, twitter)을 보면서 혁명의 최선의 방법 중 하나가 블로그를 갖는 거라는 걸 깨달았어요. 여기서는 검열하거나 막을 수 없으니까요. 많은 것을 하거나 말할 계획은 없지만, 좌절은 피하는 게 나아요.
뭔가를 하는 얘기를 하자면, 어제 Design+Code의 Grid & Layouts 코스를 끝냈어요. 몇 가지 새로운 걸 배웠는데 솔직히 그냥 해야 하는 일 같은 느낌이었어요. Swift 것은 그렇게 안 나쁘길 바라요.
포트폴리오를 진행하고 있는데, 일단 정적인 MVP로 출시하고, 나중에 Jekyll과 통합해서 관리… 클라이언트 파일을 거의 안 가지고 있으니 무엇을 관리할지는 모르겠지만, 그래도 포트폴리오를 업그레이드하는 걸 좋아해요. 그러고 보면 swup이 jekyll과 안 됐는데, CMS보다 애니메이션이 좋으니 상관없어요. 이 포스트 자체도 Vscode에서 쓰고 있으니 그렇게 끔찍한 것도 아니에요.
終わりは近い
また一年が終わりに近づいて、ブログの総投稿数とポートフォリオの進捗は…正直に言いましょう、良くないです。ソーシャルメディアがどんどん投稿の編集オプションを増やしているのに、ブログを持つ意味があんまりないんですよね。実際、Facebook のグループ投稿でできる編集レベルには驚かされます。スペイン語の Sketch グループを Facebook で持ってるって話しましたっけ？ そして今や正式に Sketch Ambassador になりました。公式にするためのTシャツがまだ届いてないんですが、もうずっと Sketch を布教してるので、まあいいや。
ブログを持つ意味がないと思ってたけど、チリで最近起きていた出来事と多くのソーシャルネットワークのひどい利用規約（twitter、お前のことだよ）を見て、革命の最善の手段の一つはブログを持つことだと気づきました。ここでは検閲もブロックもされないので。たくさんのことをするつもりも言うつもりもないんですが、フラストレーションは避けた方がいい。
やったことの話をすると、昨日 Design+Code の Grid & Layouts コースを終わらせました。いくつか新しいことを学びましたが、正直ただこなした感じで、Swift のやつがそんなにひどくないといいな。
