Welcome to another pointless post. Today I’m going to talk about how I bought an acrobatics/racing drone. Yes, I just recycled that intro. Though I should really make a post about when I went on vacation to Chernobyl, but the hype from the TV series is still too high right now.
Vroom Vroom
It all started one day doing infinity scroll on instagram, when I saw a video of a guy doing tricks with a drone inside a house. Sweet lord, the questions started pouring in: how? where? when? I needed to know more…
My interest in getting one went on vacation when I saw the prices and how complex it was to get started knowing absolutely nothing. For those who know me, they’ll know that’s nothing more than a huge incentive to learn and research.
After a few articles, some price checking, and waiting for them to release an RTF pack — because at first the prices and all the configurations killed my motivation to start from scratch — I found some people who were going to sell a Ready To Flight kit.

And here I am, with a tinywhoop trying to understand all the acronyms and above all, trying to pilot a miniature craft. It’s super fun and complex, but I think it’s a hobby I can handle better than the others I’ve tried and abandoned — maybe I should make a list of those.
Now for my imaginary friends who read the blog, here’s what you need to get into this hobby:
A Drone
In my case I went with a Tinywhoop, which is a brand of micro drones, but that’s what everyone calls them. I preferred this size because I find indoor racing in enclosed spaces way more fun than flying outdoors.
A micro quad is made up of:
- Props
- Motors
- Brain
- Camera
- Frame
- Canopy
There are several parts but most of them are pretty cheap — the expensive ones are the radio and the goggles.
In a future update I’ll add more info about the parts and what I’ve been learning, since I still haven’t mastered flying well enough to start tinkering with the build (sooner or later it’ll happen).

Bienvenidos a otro post sin sentido, hoy les voy a hablar de como me compré un Drone de acrobacias/carreras, si acabo de reciclar esa introducción aunque en verdad debería hacer un post de cuando me fui de vacaciones a Chernobyl pero creo que el hype de la serie aun esta muy alto.

Todo partió un día haciendo infinity scroll en instagram, cuando vi un video de un tipo haciendo piruetas con un drone dentro de una casa, sweet lord, me empezaron a atacar las preguntas, ¿cómo? ¿dónde? ¿cúando? necesitaba saber más…
Mi interés e intenciones de adquirir uno se fueron de vacaciones cuando vi los precios y lo complejo que era iniciarse en el tema sabiendo cero, para los que me conocen sabrán que eso no es mas que un gran incentivo a aprender e investigar.
Luego de un par de lecturas, cotizaciones y esperar que sacarán un pack RTF, ya que en un comienzo, los precios y todas las configuraciones me quitarón todas las ganas de partir de cero, encontré a unos tipos que iban a vender un kit Ready To Flight.

Y Aquí estoy, con un tinywhoop tratando de entender todos los acrónimos y por sobre todo, tratando de pilotear una nave miniatura, es super entretenido y complejo, pero creo que es un hobby que puedo manejar mejor que los otros que e intentado y he dejado botados, quizás debería hacer una lista de esos.
Ahora para mis Amigos imaginarios que leen el blog, lo necesario para sumarse a este hobby:

また意味のない ポスト へようこそ。今日はアクロバット/レース用のドローンを買った話をします。そうです、あのイントロを使い回しました。本当はチェルノブイリに休暇で行ったポストを書くべきなんですが、ドラマのハイプがまだ高すぎるので。

全ては instagram で infinity scroll をしていたある日、家の中でドローンを使って技をやっている人の動画を見たことから始まりました。sweet lord、質問が頭に押し寄せてきました。どうやって？どこで？いつ？ もっと知りたい…
値段を見て、ゼロから始めるのがどれだけ複雑かを知った時点で、一度興味は吹き飛びました。自分を知っている人には分かると思いますが、それはむしろ学んで調べるための大きな動機になります。
いくつか記事を読んで、見積もりを取って、RTF パックが出るのを待ちました。最初は値段と設定の複雑さで ゼロから始める 気が失せていたんですが、Ready To Flight キットを売っている人たちを見つけました。

というわけで今ここにいます。tinywhoop を持ちながら、全ての略語を理解しようとして、何より小さな機体を操縦しようとしています。めちゃくちゃ楽しくて難しい。でも今まで試して放り投げてきた他の趣味よりはうまくやれそうな気がします。そういえばその一覧を作るべきかもしれない。
というわけで、ブログを読んでいる想像上の友達のために、この趣味を始めるのに必要なものを。
ドローン
自分は Tinywhoop を選びました。マイクロドローンのブランドですが、みんなそう呼んでいます。このサイズを選んだのは、屋外より屋内の狭い空間でレースする方がずっと楽しいと思ったからです。

部品は多いですが、ほとんどは安い。高いのは ラジオ と ゴーグル です。
次のアップデートで部品の詳細や学んだことを追加します。まだ飛行をマスターできていないので、機体を自分でいじり始めるのはまだ先の話です（いつかは絶対やる）。
