About three weeks ago, my cousin Caro ❤️ and I went to Chicago — to do what we do best: eat. I think this is the first time I’ve taken a vacation like a normal person, spending a lot of money on food and living a life I don’t normally live the rest of the year (if you’re reading this, you probably already know I’m a total cheapskate).
Besides taking photos with my trusty A-6000 and the wonderful Helios-44m2 lens, I shot some videos and played YouTube for the, what, second time? (I’ll be doing another fun trip soon and I have to practice — plus my memory fails sometimes, but the internet never does). Not like that Chernobyl trip where I never made the video, because just like that time I forgot to narrate where I was or take notes along the way, so the whole video ended up feeling like a bad dream, or a good nightmare:
I haven’t fully committed to the YouTuber life and set up a Patreon yet, but I do have a kit where I’ve listed some of my shameful material possessions — in case anyone believes that tools make the artist, or something like that.
I also haven’t made much progress on my portfolio, but it’s slowly taking shape. I’ve realized I’m really good at rebuilding things from scratch when I should actually be using existing elements or established rules, like breakpoints. Silly, but there it is.
What I have been doing — something I set out to do last year — is uploading almost all my drawings to teespring in case anyone feels like buying a t-shirt. Too bad it won’t be in time for Christmas. I’m generous though, so here’s a discount code:

Hace como unas tres semanas atrás, fuimos con mi prima (Caro ❤️) a Chicago, ¿a qué?, a lo que somos mejores, comer, creo que es primera vez que me doy vacaciones como la gente normal, gastando mucha plata en comida y viviendo como no vive el resto del año (si están acá leyendo esto deben saber que soy una rata).
Además de sacar fotos con mi fiel A-6000 y el maravilloso lente Helios-44m2, grabe unos videos y me las di de youtuber por, ¿segunda vez?(pronto haré otro viaje entretenido y tengo que entrenar, además de que la memoria falla a veces, pero internet jamás), no como el viaje a Chernobyl que nunca hice el video, porque como esa vez también se me olvido ir diciendo donde estaba o anotándolo, entonces todo el video al final es como un mal sueño, o una buena pesadilla:
Aún no me las doy 100% de youtuber y me creo un Patreon, pero ya tengo un kit donde he listado un par de mis cochinos bienes materiales por si alquien cree que las herramientas hacen al artista, o algo así.
Tampoco he avanzado mucho en mi portafolio, pero va de a poco tomando forma, me he dado cuenta que soy super bueno para rehacer cosas desde cero, cuando en verdad debería usar elementos o reglas ya hechas, como los breakpoints, una estupidez, pero bueno.
Lo que si he estado haciendo y que me propuse el año pasado es subir casi todos mis dibujos a teespring por si alguien se motiva a comprar alguna polera, lástima que no será para esta navidad, mire que soy regalón, y le dejo un código de descuento:

Y he estado dibujando un poco más “serio” en vez de tanto sketch y boceto (que es en verdad lo que me gusta, recuerden que soy un simple dibujante de croquera). Ahí se ven.

3週間くらい前、いとこのCaro ❤️ とシカゴに行ってきた。目的は？得意なことをするため、つまり食べること。こんな風に_普通の人_みたいに休暇を取って、食事にがっつりお金を使い、普段とは全然違う生活を送ったのは初めてかもしれない（ここを読んでるなら、僕が_けちな人間_だとわかってるはずだ）。
A-6000と素晴らしいHelios-44m2レンズで写真を撮ることに加えて、動画も撮ってYouTuberごっこをした。2回目かな？（近いうちまた楽しい旅をするし練習もしなきゃ。記憶はたまに飛ぶけどインターネットは絶対飛ばない。）チェルノブイリ旅行の時は結局動画を作らなかったけど、あの時も今回と同じで、どこにいたか語りながら撮ったりメモを取ったりするのを忘れて、結果として動画全体が悪夢みたいな出来になったから：
まだ本格的なYouTuberになりきってPatreonを作るには至ってないけど、kitはすでにあって、自分の罪深い物欲コレクションをいくつかリストアップしてある。道具がアーティストを作るとか思ってる人向けに。
ポートフォリオもあまり進んでいないけど、少しずつ形になってきてる。自分がゼロから作り直すのが得意だって気づいたけど、本当はブレークポイントみたいな既存のルールやパーツを使うべきなんだよね。バカらしい話だけど、まあ仕方ない。
去年から続けていることは、ほぼすべてのイラストをteespringにアップして、誰かTシャツを買いたくなってくれたら嬉しいなって感じ。今年のクリスマスには間に合わないけど。太っ腹な僕からの割引コードを置いていきます：
